Internship Positions

STC is proud to offer 2 internship positions to deserving students who are currently enrolled in full-time study at the collegiate level. Selected Interns will receive a FREE Auditor Class scholarship plus 1 15-minute performance in a masterclass with our featured Guest Artist - a total value of $500. Lodging, meals, and travel are NOT provided by STC.

Interns cannot be members of the Honors or Participant Classes. However, they can participate in the Solo Competition should their preliminary tape audition be advanced to the final round.

- 1 Audio/Visual Internship

- 1 Photography Internship

Audio/Visual Internship Description:

The Audio/Visual Intern is responsible for recording all live evening recitals, featured masterclasses, and other events as required. They are to help assist with set up of equipment, monitor all systems during use, and save all audio and video files to an external hard drive. Prior experience and strong recommendation from a teacher is required for this position.

Position Requirements:

Experience with professional level audio and video recording
Knowledge of operating an audio interface and MacOS systems
Knowledge and experience with Logic Pro or equivalent DAW
Knowledge and experience with mixing audio and gain staging tracks (must provide examples of your work)
Knowledge of how to set proper camera settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed) for video
Familiarity with FinalCutPro (for importing and saving projects)
Reformatting SD Camera Cards

Photography Internship Description:

The Photography Intern is responsible for photographing all events at STC with particular attention to recitals, featured masterclasses, and guest activities. Prior experience and strong recommendation from a teacher is required for this position.

Position Requirements:

Experience with professional level DSLR or SLR camera (ownership preferred)
Familiarity with Canva
Nightly photo upload of best edited photos to a shared folder
Professional Sample Portfolio of live performance photography must be submitted for consideration
