2026 STC Dates: July 7-11, 2026
Solo Competition Audition Deadline: April 1st, 2025
Early-Application Deadline: March 15th, 2025 (reduced application fee)
Application Deadline: April 1st, 2025
Participant Announcement: April 15th, 2025

Tuition

Tuition rates are as follows:

Honors Class: $850
Participant Class: $700
Auditors: $75 per day of attendance

Non-refundable Application Fee: $50

Non-refundable Early Application Fee*: $25

*Materials must be received by March 15th, 2026 to qualify for the Early Application Fee

Tuition rates include the cost of all events and classes, including concerts, masterclasses, coachings, etc. Application fees are not applied toward your Tuition rate if accepted.

Private lessons are also available to all attendees including auditors with any of our Faculty members. Lessons can be scheduled directly with Faculty members. Lesson cost is determined by each Faculty member's individual rate.

If accepted, a one-time payment in full is required by May 15th. Should you be unable to attend for any reason, you will be reimbursed 50% if notice is given by June 15th. Should you notify us later than June 15th of your inability to attend STC, no refund will be given.

Intern Positions

The following 2 student internship roles are available at STC:

Audio Visual Assistant
- assists with some set up and is responsible for recording and monitoring all microphones and video equipment during performances at STC.
Photographer
- responsible for gathering photos and multi-media content of activities and performances at STC.
- Ownership of a professional grade camera is required.

Free Auditing PLUS 1 masterclass performance with the Featured Guest Artist ($500 in value!) is available to students willing to assist with AV and Photography roles during STC. Prior experience, a letter of recommendation from a teacher, and a sample portfolio of your work for both the AV and Photography positions is required. Travel and lodging will not be provided. Scholarships

One half-tuition scholarship is available to a student who demonstrates exceptional ability and financial need. The recipient of this scholarship may be asked to help with room and stage set ups during the conference. In order to apply for this scholarship, please complete the essay within the application expressing your need for financial assistance. This scholarship is courtesy of Ultimate Brass.

Housing

Dormitories are available at UNM for the entire stay with check-in on Registration day and check-out immediately after the final concert on Sunday. Additional nights may be available pro rata. Priority is given to our Participant and Honors Classes with any extra rooms being available on a first-come-first-served basis to other attendees.

Double Occupancy Room: $289.50

Single Occupancy Room: $365.10

Bathrooms are shared within a suite consisting of 2 single rooms and one double room (4 people per suite/bathroom). Linens and breakfast are included in this price. Please note these prices reflect our 2025 Conference. 2026 Conference prices are coming as soon as possible.

Parking passes are available for an additional $42/week.
